George Bernard Shaw
When we want to read of the deeds that are done for love, whither do we turn? To the murder column. You think that are Ann’s suitor; that you are the pursuer and she the pursued; that it is your part to woo, to persuade, to prevail, to overcome. Fool: it is you who are the pursued, the marked-down quarry, the destined.

William Shakespeare
She is a woman, therefore may be woo’d; She is a woman, therefore may be won; She is Lavinia, therefore must be loved. Love comforteth like sunshine after rain, But List’s effect is tempest after sun; love’s gentle spring doth always fresh remain, Lust’s winter comes ere summer half be done: Love surfeits not, Lust like a glutton dies; Love is all truth, Lust full of forged lies. O, how this spring of love resembleth, The uncertain glory of an April day! A lover’s eyes will gaze an eagle blind; A lover’s ear will hear the lowest sound. And when Love speaks, the voice oa all the gods, Make heaven drowsy with the harmony. A pair of star – cross’d lovers. And in this state she gallops night by night, Through lovers’ brains, and then they dream of love. See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O that I were a glove upon that hand, That I might touch that cheek! O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo? What’s in a name? that which we call a rose, By any other name would smell as sweet. At lover’s perjuries, They say, Jove laughs. O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon, That monthly changes in her circled orb, Lest that thy love prove likewise variable. Love goes toward love, as schoolboys from their books, But love from love, toward school with heavy looks. How silver-sweet sound lovers’ tongues by night, Like softest music to attending ears! Spread thy close curtain, love-performing night, That runaways’ eyes may wink, and Romeo, Leap to these

arms, untalk’d of and unseen. Give me my Romeo; and, when he shall die, Take him and cut out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine, That all the world will be in the garish sun. For aught that I could ever read, Could ever hear by tale or history, The course of true love never did run smooth. O hell! to choose love by another’s eyes. Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; And therefore is wing’d Cupid painted blind. Yet mark’d I where the bolt of cupid fell: It fell upon a little western flower, Before milk-white, now purple with love’s wound, And maidens call it love-in-idleness. The lover, all as frantic, Sees Helen’s beauty in a brow of Egypt. But love is blind and lovers cannot see, the pretty follies that themselves commit. I am bewitched with the rogue’s company. If the rascal have not given me medicines to make me love him, I’ll hanged. Is it not strange that desire should so many years outlive performance? Speaks low, if you speak love. Sigh no more, ladies, sigh no more, Men were deceivers ever, One foot on sea and one on shore, To one thing constant never. Shall quips and sentences and these paper bullets of the brain awe a man from the career of his humour? No, the world must be peopled. When I said I would die a bachelor, I did not think I should live till I were married. Taming my wild heart to thy loving hand. We that are true lovers run into strange capers. And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad, Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. if ever, – as that ever may be near, – You meet in some fresh cheek the power of fancy, Then shall you know wounds invisible, That love’s keen arrows make. Down on your knees, And thank heaven, fasting, for a good man’s love. Dead shepherd, now I find thy saw of might,”Who ever loved that loved not at first sight?”

More often than not, you realize that you are jaded and fed up since you are prone to be limited to just one sphere of your life. It could possibly be your job, private life, or perhaps some unconstructive behavioral mannerisms that really prevent you from developing or attaining what you actually desire in life. You could possess some great concepts, but you do not divulge them to anyone, since you lack faith or confidence in yourself and therefore do not act on them. For more information refer to motivational speaker

If this the predicament that you are facing, you may be interested in hiring the services of a professional life coach, who would be of tremendous help in directing you in your mission to attain the goals that you have firmly fixed in your mind.

Life coaching, these days, has turned into a booming profession due to the urgent demand for counselors to assist people involved in business and various other careers. Nonetheless, a professional life coach also operates in other fields such as alcoholism, addiction, psychology, jobs, relationships, therapy, and various other fields.

Life coaching is something like a partnership that is present between you and the coach.

Now, what actually is this partnership?

This partnership is concerned with your personal way of life with which the life coach assists you and the way in which you can relate to it. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

It would be a good idea if you were able to hire a professional life coach, with whom you are on close terms. You can rely on professional life coaches. On the other hand, soliciting assistance from a well-known life coach does not guarantee you success. You need to reflect on the kind of assistance that you require and balance that against the credential of the potential life coach. Check out the competency levels of the professional life coach. To assist you with this task, the following can be borne in mind:

A great professional life coach delves into your principles, your viewpoints, your ambitions, and your objectives. Life coaching establishes the fact that it is an extremely noteworthy session since it delineates your position with regard to your professional and personal roles. Professional life coaches normally conduct the sessions via the telephone with the duration of each session on life coaching being 45 minutes.

However, they are clients, who may convince their life coaches to give a more personalized contact, and may be entitled to face to face sessions, or even group sessions.

A further area concerning life coaching is the internet where some life coaches conduct their sessions online. Now, these professional life coaches are skilled in the fields of psychology, therapy, human resource, social working, education, and many more specializations.

Wherever you prefer the session to take place, you need to get in touch with someone who is able to extract the very best from you. Be careful on whom you invest your money in, and ensure your investment gives rise to fantastic returns. Obviously, these professional life coaches will tend to charge you for services rendered.

Life coaches make you realize that the luck factor should not be blindly relied upon. Further, you are informed that your apprehensions should not bog you down and prevent you from moving ahead. You may put forward numerous queries to the life coach, request for useful strategies, which will help you make profitable investments, put ideas into practice, and concentrate on your objectives.

Loosen up your defenses, stop thinking about your negativity, release your resentment, and in its place, start on a new note and learn to live an improved, satisfied, and blissful life not just for this day but forever. Maintain a sense of balance between your professional and personal life. You definitely can bring this about. Your professional life coach can assist you in your endeavor.

Our internal dialogue can be our best friend or our own worst enemy. It can limit us from doing what we want to do resulting in a lack of confidence even though we know that other people believe in our abilities. For more information refer to motivational speaker

It does not have to be that way because we all have complete control over the way we think and feel (whether you believe that or not!) and can regain control by using a variety of methods, one I recommend is affirmations.

Negative self-talk can be a roadblock to doing your best, pursuing your dreams, and enjoying life. On the other hand, positive self-talk – especially when using positive affirmations – can spur you on to do great things and live an exciting life full of passion!
Using affirmations can change how you think about yourself and how you view the world around you. These positive statements can bring you the motivation you seek, as well as happiness, joy, and passion.

When you are feeling negative or down, repeating affirmations can immediately improve your mood. Even though affirmations can work immediately do not think of them as a quick fix. Positive affirmations are most effective in the long-term so you can get what you deeply desire out of life.

When you use affirmations, you are literally reprogramming the way you think. You replace your negative self-talk and doubts with positive, motivating thoughts. Eventually, these positive thoughts become reality.

These motivational affirmations work because they push away the negative thoughts that are limiting you day in and day out. You can leave your negative thinking in the past if you fill your current thoughts with positive, motivational affirmations. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

Before you know it these positive affirmations will become second nature allowing you to change your life systematically, one thought at a time. Here are ten motivational affirmations you can use to improve your mood:

1. I welcome positive energy and I use that feeling to accomplish more.
2. I use my energy to live my life to the fullest.
3. No matter what I’m working on, I’m always committed to completing my goal.
4. I trust my thought processes. They are clear and I am very capable.
5. I can find my own intrinsic motivator.
6. No matter how hard I may fall, I get back up, dust myself off, and forge on.
7. No matter the challenge, I will see it through.
8. I enjoy being responsible for my actions.
9. My life is full of purpose, exciting chang, and many recognized deeds.
10. By commemorating the smallest nuggets of success I am motivated to complete the larger tasks.

Use this list of affirmations in those moments of frustration or self-doubt to help you find the motivation you need to continue. Repeat them in the morning when you first wake up, or make them your last thoughts at night before you sleep.

Add your own energy into them by making them your own, change the words or add to them. Affirmations are far more powerful when you create them for yourself because they have special meaning for you. It doesn’t matter where you get them, as long as they speak to your heart and are focused on the present.

We all need a motivational boost from time to time. Now you don’t have to look to other people or situations to keep you moving forward. Keep your affirmation list updated with the thoughts you’d like to be thinking, repeat your affirmations several times a day, and soon you will easily be able to command and master your emotions rather than having them control you. Visit motivational speaker for more information.

Sometimes in life we can feel a little lost. Things do not seem to be moving forward and our lives are stuck in a rut. While we try as hard as we can, sometimes we just cannot find the inspiration that we need and that is where a motivational speaker may come in handy. Refer to Keynote Speaker for more information.

Motivational speakers are there to inspire you and to give you the courage that you need in order to change your life. We all need some encouragement in order to achieve success in our lives, but unfortunately we do not always find it in ourselves or in the people around us. Motivational speakers know what we need and they know how we can achieve it. Overall they help us to once again believe in ourselves.

Choosing the Right Motivational Speaker for You

When on the lookout for a motivational speaker, you need to keep in mind a few things. First and most importantly you have to actually like the speaker. It may sound obvious but some people have hired a motivational speaker despite feeling a little uneasy around them. It could be due to a lot of confidence on the motivational speaker’s part and it may have made the other person feel a little overpowered. Whatever it is that makes you feel uneasy, if you feel unsure in any way look for another speaker. There is no point whatsoever hiring somebody who will intimidate you instead of empower you. Go to Keynote Speaker for further information.

Another thing that you have to check is credibility. There are some advertised motivational speakers who are not all that they say they are. So it is always a good idea to look at references and qualifications. That way you will have an idea of how good they are and it will help you to make a knowledgeable choice as to whether to hire them or not.

One important quality which all motivational speakers should have if they are truly genuine is the ability to know your individual needs. For example, it is all well and good saying you can change your life by believing in yourself but they also need to be able to tell you how. How can you change your life as opposed to how the person next to you can change theirs? Every single person is different and their needs are different too. So they need to tell you how you personally can change the situation that you are in.

Finally you need to know what their message is. Does it inspire you? Have you heard it all before? You are hiring the motivational speaker because they have something that you want to hear. You are not hiring them to tell you something that you have heard before. You need to know how they can change your life and how they can inspire you. Only when you have heard their message, can you then decide whether they are right for you.

Overall you really do need to spend a lot of time researching different motivational speakers within your area. Get to know them and that way you will know if you can trust them and if you like them. A motivational speaker can really help you to take control of your life, but only if they are the right one for you. Visit Keynote Speaker for further information.

In the past years, there has been a sudden rise of motivational speakers. They appear in television and in magazines as well as sold out seminars that are just brimming with people who are just craving to get some direction with their lives. For more information refer to motivational speaker

A motivational speaker, instead of focusing on the financial gains that he or she will most probably get from these seemingly “needy” people, should focus his or her attention to actually motivating people to actually be the best that they can be through their sheer motivation to change their lives for the better that is actually inspired by such a speaker.

A motivational speaker is, most often rather should be seen as, an expert, the one person who “normal people” can rely on when it comes to instilling positive thinking in them as well as providing them not just the answers that they want to hear but the answers that they would actually need and eventually help them with their lives. Speakers are actually regarded quite highly by the people who depend on them for the “answers.”

A good motivational speaker should exude confidence (not cockiness!) by being extremely knowledgeable as compared to most people, even one’s own colleagues about a specific topic. This is what makes speakers highly in-demand especially when organizers are trying to set-up an event or a seminar that aims to educate people about a certain topic. However, a motivational speaker shouldn’t just rely on book smarts to be able to help him or her throughout his or her motivational speaker career. Various experiences can actually help enrich a speaker’s expertise and knowledge about a certain topic. This is actually that will serve the speaker on a positive note considering that the audience during seminars actually want real affirmations of what the speaker is trying to teach them. People who are in doubt need the actual proof for them to be able to motivate themselves to believe. Go to Life Coach for more information.

For those who are aspiring to become a motivational speaker, here are a few reminders from public speaking experts that you should know before actually pursuing your dream as a motivational speaker as well as being able to get the attention of the people and companies who might want to get your services :

*First and foremost, for you to be able to motivate other people and get them out of the rut that they’re in, you must have a pleasant-sounding, clear and well-modulated voice. The type of voice that a speaker should have so as to be able to command attention. This is incredibly important because as a motivational speaker, or any kind of public speaker for that matter, you must be able to get a hold of your audience’s attention and make them believe in what they’re saying (this is NOT to say that you should “brainwash” your audience into doing something that are already against their will and moral standards based on what non believers of adhering to a public speakers advice). Still, having a good voice cannot assure you of a career as a motivational speaker.

You must also have the added charisma, charm, intellect, wit and sense of humor that can make people irresistibly drawn to you. Also try to brush up on current events or whatever new information that you may see as “relevant’ to your speeches. Relating your talk to present events or things that of interest to your audience would help capture your audience’s interests more.

*As a responsible motivational speaker, you must always keep in mind that you should value your audience because these are the people who actually took the time (and money) to be able to hear out on what you’ve got to say with regards to the topic on hand. This should actually motivate you to actually showing up on the venue on time, properly dressed and groomed as well as very much prepared for your talk. A good motivational speaker should know that people actually come to these seminars to learn new things from you and not just hear about rehashed material. They expect you, the motivational speaker, to be able to supply them with the information that they’re looking for, so always be prepared.

These are just a few tips to help you get started on being a motivational speaker. Remember, when it comes to holding your audience attention you must always be yourself. Be natural in your gestures. Absolutely no pretensions because people are incredibly smart and they can actually see through those who are just putting up a front. Visit Author for further information.

Small business coaching is hot. A few years ago the only coaches anyone talked about were sports coaches. But today, PriceWaterhouseCoopers estimates that there are 30,000 business and life coaches worldwide.

Thousands of small business owners and managers turn to coaches every day to improve their personal skills and business results. You can, too. But first you have to determine if you’re ready for coaching. Then you have to select the right coach.

Are you Ready?

Rosa started her business out of her home. She made money, but not as much as she felt she should. She was frustrated that she couldn’t find time for her family. That’s when a friend suggested that a small business coach would help. For more information refer to motivational speaker

That’s a typical situation. Most small businesses owners don’t start out using a coach. They usually come to coaching when they’ve had some success and when they know they could have more. They usually come to coaching when they’re ready to listen and when they need a little knowledge and a little nudge to do the right things.

The best coaching in the world won’t help you if you’re not ready to be helped. So before you go hunting for a good small business coach, answer the following questions.

Are you ready to listen to the things you need to hear? A good coach will ask you about things you haven’t thought of and push you to think outside the box. That’s often scary.

A good coach may also tell you to change the way you do some things. That’s hard for many small business owners because it means admitting that you’ve made some bad decisions and choices.

Are you ready to take a hard look at your business? Even the best coach can’t help you if your business can’t deliver quality to enough people at the right price. Sometimes a business simply can’t succeed because the market is too small or too hard to reach.

Are you ready to pay the price? Coaching does not come without a price. You will pay a price in both money and time. You may even realize that you need to invest in new things for your business.

Coaching is not a magic bean. You have to work at success every day. I tell my clients that ?€œsuccess is based on persistency and consistency, not magic.”

You’re ready for coaching if you see coaching as an investment in yourself and your success. Your next challenge is to find the right coach for you.

Choosing the Coach for You

Great coaches, like great chefs and great football players, are rare. And, sometimes, even a great coach is not the right coach for you. Here are some ways to evaluate coaches. Go to Life Coach for more information.

Look for a coach who’s run a small business. Before I started coaching I built two successful small businesses. I’ve really “been there and done that” so I know what my clients are going through.

I also use coaches myself. The ones that work best for me have small business experience. Small businesses are different from big businesses and you need a coach who understands the special challenges.

Look for a coach who’s been doing it for a while. My job as a coach is to help you know what to do, but it’s also to help you do what you know. It takes time to learn to coach well.

Look for a coach who won’t nickel and dime you to death. It seems to me that there are two kinds of coaches when it comes to billing. There are coaches who charge you by the minute, hour or session. And there are coaches who are always accessible or available for short conversations between sessions, if needed without piling on extra charges. I find the latter works better for my clients.

Look for a coach that you’re comfortable with. Successful outcomes demand a productive relationship between you and your coach. It won’t work if you feel talked down to or belittled or if you feel like your coach doesn’t care about you. If you feel any of those things, look for a different coach.

Look for a coach who’s picky. The best coaches are selective about the kind of clients they work with. We expect a lot of our clients and we limit the number of clients we work with so we can concentrate on helping each one succeed.

After some soul searching and some research Rosa started working with a small business coach. It wasn’t always easy, but together they found ways to help Rosa’s business grow and help her reap the benefits of success. They took her business and life to a whole new level.

It can happen for you, too. If you’re ready, if you’re willing to embrace change and if you’re willing to pay the price, a small business coach can help you become an amazing success story.

Visualization is a power tool in your arsenal. Practicing visualization is a key to success because it helps you mentally rehearse your goals as if they have already happened. When you do this, you start attracting the people, circumstances and events that you need to make those dreams a reality.

The power of visualization comes from repeatedly seeing yourself in that new car or living in your dream home or making the money you want. When you repeat your visualization over and over again you are reprogramming your brain for success. You’ll be hard-wiring yourself to succeed. For more information please visit Motivational Speaker

Visualization can be done in several different ways. Many people find that just thinking about their goals is enough. They picture themselves earning what they want to earn, going on great vacations and spending time with their family. For others, it’s difficult to visualize without some outside help.

Creating a visualization board is a great way to jump-start the visualization process. Take a few days to create your own “motivational poster.” Go through magazines and newspapers and cut out pictures of the things that you’d like to have and the life that you’d like to lead. Find images that correspond to your dream life. If you have goals that can’t be expressed in pictures (like “having more gratitude”) then find words to put on your board.

Once you’re done with your visualization board, post it up someplace where you’ll see it everyday. Look at it often and picture what it will be like when you have everything on that board. Imagine yourself living the life you’ve always dreamed of. for more information please refer to Keynote Speaker

You can also practice visualization right before you go to sleep. As you close your eyes, picture yourself in your new home or depositing large checks into your bank account or going on amazing vacations. As you drift off to sleep, your subconscious mind will take those images and absorb them. Your subconscious mind will work on a daily basis to make those visions a reality.

There are some things to keep in mind while visualizing that makes the process more effective. First, try to make the images in your mind as realistic as possible. Instead of envisioning a new house, see yourself walking around in the house and doing normal everyday things. Picture yourself sitting behind the wheel of your new car, and imagine that new car smell.for more information please visit Keynote Speaker

Secondly, repeat your visualization practice as much as possible. The more you think about your dreams becoming reality, the more you’ll program yourself for success. Finally, the thoughts you have while you are visualizing are just as important as the images themselves. Thinking thoughts such as “this is impossible” or “this will never happen” while visualizing will defeat the purpose. While you are visualizing, think to yourself “this is all mine. This is within my reach.” These positive thoughts will help you start living the life you deserve to live.

Focusing on your future goals is, in general a good thing. It’s good to have a clear sense of direction and targets. Even so, in certain circumstances, this can actually lead to de-motivation, the opposite effect to that which could reasonably be expected.

The problem can surface when you are tightly focused on your desired outcome and either not achieving it or, perhaps, not achieving it fast enough. When you are only thinking about what you want to happen in the future your mind will create explanations as to why this hasn’t happened and isn’t happening.

In this situation it’s easy to go over past failures, previous bad luck and even to start wondering if your perceived personal weaknesses are an contributory factor. You may become envious of your competition, you may even start looking for excuses and then you’re on a downward spiral and you could lose self confidence. This might impact upon not only your current project but future plans.

At times such as this you need to kill the destructive thought pattern by setting aside a little time to reflect upon your achievements and nurture your attitude of gratitude. Make a list of your previous victories, your proven skills and think about the advantages that you already possess in comparison with others less fortunate. This will quickly boost your confidence and put you in the right frame of mind to achieve your goals.

The key here is not to become self satisfied or complacent but to develop the belief and positive attitude you need to go forward and win. You are going to build upon your current achievements as a platform to realise your future objectives. You deserve to win.

Motivation is simply defined as the one that kindles change and concentration. As Elbert Hubbard says, “Positive anything is better than negative nothing.” True isn’t it? Motivation is the one that keeps people to stay focus. It’s motivation that helps people to stay optimistic amidst all the challenges that they encounter in their everyday life. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

Literally speaking, motivation is based on the word “motivus” which is a Latin term that denotes a moving cause. It is the element that pushes an individual to take action or initiate change. It is the one that keeps an individual to get going.

To best explain the importance of motivation and how it affects the behavior of a certain individual, you should look into this article and discover the whole story of motivation theory.

There are many motivation theories that were conceptualized on account of giving people a vivid picture of what motivation is and how important it is to be motivated. Here are some of the theories of motivation that you should take into account.

Consistency Theory

The consistency theory is based on the principle that people need some form of regularity and control in their lives. It is very important to have consistency for the reason that it is the key element that binds everything as one. Being consistent is necessary not only because it holds everything together but also because it drives people to reach that standard level of stability in this world.

Self-discrepancy Theory

This theory deals with the human self-esteem and how it is affected by the dealings with cognitive elements of the self. People are encouraged to have that sense of consistency depending on their point of views or how they perceive things. This sometimes led to some problems because people have different expectations. This is evident when people don’t get what they wanted for example you want to win the first prize for the essay writing contest but you end up on the 3rd place. You feel dissatisfied and depressed for you don’t get what you like to achieve. Refer to motivational speaker for more information.

Reactance Theory

Reactance theory is based on the notion that when people don’t feel comfortable and they think that they can do what they want, they experience a bad feeling. This bad feeling is known as reactance. When they feel this, they will be motivated to do what they were threatened to do, which is a sign that their freedom has not been suppressed.

Goal-setting Theory

The goal-setting theory implies that people set goals for themselves. But you see setting goals for yourself is more effective unlike when other people set your goals. This is because people are more encouraged to fulfill the goals that they have set for themselves for it’s based on what they believe.

Acquired Needs Theory

The theory of acquired needs explains that needs may vary depending on people’s experiences and these needs may change as time goes by. This theory is also referred to as the Three-Need Theory or Learned Need Theory. Generally, the needs of the people are classified into three. These are the achievement, affiliation and power.

On the whole, understanding all the theories of motivation can be a great help to you especially when it comes to harnessing your leadership skills. Motivation is a very important ingredient in the success of every individual. Without it, your life will not be bright.

Quitting smoking is an admirable goal. But you can be sure of running into some problems along the way. It is difficult to be persistent when everything you try seems to fail. And many people who don’t realize immediate results from their efforts are easily swayed toward giving up. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Let’s begin by emphasizing how important it is to your self-worth that you never allow yourself to give up fighting for something you know and believe to be right.

If you can commit yourself to being smoke-free for the rest of your life, you’ll need to make sure you can re-enforce that idea positively by removing any doubt about your ability to see things through. Even if you are the type of person who sets goals only to see yourself fail time and again, you can still make this work with the proper motivational techniques.

Of all the tools you’ll need to achieve quitting smoking, a positive mental attitude will be your strongest ally. For long time smokers who may be first time quitters, be aware of the grip nicotine has on you. Respect its power, its cunning, and see it as an entity that can be expunged from your body. This addiction is tricky and will test your resolve unlike most anything you may have ever been through.

For those of you who have tried and failed in the past, remember that every failure brings with it the seeds for future success. Many successful former smoker’s had to go through multiple attempts to achieve their goal while other’s succeed right away and never go back to the habit.

As promised, here are five very powerful motivational techniques to help you on your journey.

1. Picture the End Result

Begin by seeing yourself as a non-smoker one year from today. Then two years. Then five. See yourself having more energy, more money. See yourself talking to your friends without smelling like a foul stale ashtray.

See yourself walking briskly down a tree-lined street under blue skies, maybe even running, without getting winded. Imagine walking out your front door without having to check if you’ve brought along your cigarettes and lighter. Without worrying about running out of butts before you can get to the corner store in time to replenish your supply.

How would it feel to be free from the restrictions that are ever increasing in a society hell-bent on becoming smoke free? You already know that you can’t smoke in most public places any longer. Imagine not having to step out into the biting cold of a nasty winter day to placate your body’s demands for more nicotine.

Now picture yourself as a healthy robust non-smoker with plenty of energy, more money in your pocket and free of offensive odors and nicotine stains. See yourself going through your daily life completely free of any desire to smoke.

Dwell on that scenario for five minutes or so with your eyes closed. Breathe deeply and exhale slowly while you use this mental exercise. When you open your eyes, imagine that you have already accomplished your mission. Feel the joy and allow yourself to believe it to be true right now. Let the feeling sink in and boost your desire to actually achieve this lifestyle.

2. Reward Yourself

Make a habit of rewarding yourself for each victory over your cravings. Set small goals at first so as to set yourself up for rapid achievement of successes.

For instance, on your first quit day you could set aside 5 dollars for every 4 hours you go without lighting up. When you wake up on day 2 and see 15 or 20 bucks in your reward jar, it’ll inspire you to keep it up so you can maybe buy that new car stereo you’ve been checking out recently.

Or maybe that vacation to Mexico you’ve always wanted to take. Doing something nice for yourself as a reward will stimulate your mind in a positive re-enforcing manner. You will be focusing on the end result instead of your craving and the critical first few days will pass more quickly and easily.

3. Create a Success Circle

Another way to be successful in any endeavor is to surround yourself with like-minded people, a mastermind group if you will.

In this case, they don’t all have to be people who are quitting at the same time as you. In fact, people who do not smoke and who share some of the same interests and ideas as you would be best suited to your group for this purpose. Refer to motivational speaker for more information.

You needn’t make a big deal out of your decision to quit smoking. But if you do tell your friends about it, it could keep you from allowing yourself to backslide.

Use the leverage at your disposal and have your friends monitor your progress. Sometimes just the thought of having your peers see you go back on your word will be enough to deter any thoughts of backsliding. After all, you want to be seen as a person of your word, don’t you?

4. Your Health is Your Future

Begin to exercise regularly. Even if it is no more than a daily half hour walk, help your body to heal itself through some type of low-impact aerobic activity.

Your body needs plenty of oxygen to flush out all those years of toxins. Mild exercise will not only provide that but will also help control any possible weight gain.

If you experience a particularly tough craving, go for a bike ride or pump some iron or take a brisk walk to the park and back. Working your body will also help change what you are focusing on and that is critical to your eventual success.

You should also pay attention to your diet. Eat plenty of green and orange vegetables for their anti-oxidant qualities. Stay away from too much caffeine or soft drinks as these are dietary triggers that launch a nicotine craving. Drink plenty of fresh, clean water to help flush out your system.

Plan to get a good night’s sleep at the end of the day. Don’t allow yourself to slump into a chair in front of the television as this is prime time for your addiction to kick up it’s heels and bite you in the butt.

Get a good book that interests you and allow yourself to focus on its content. Once you have been smoke-free for a few months you will find it easier to relax without the distraction of a nagging urge to light up. Regaining good health is key to your success.

5. Avoid Those Enabling Triggers

Make no mistake about it, you cannot let your guard down for one minute during the quitting process. The first year of your new smokeless existence will be tested frequently for chinks in the armor of your determination. Identifying these triggers and removing them from your daily routines is critical.

Alcohol has been a common trigger for most people who smoke. It really should be avoided but can be consumed in moderation as long as you don’t let it break down your resolve.

However, if you can’t have a drink without a smoke, just don’t drink until you have eliminated smoking from your daily routine. It’s that simple.

After dinner smoking is a bit trickier. You obviously cannot go without eating. Instead, once finished eating, get up from the table right away and help clear the dishes and condiments from the table.

Reach for a stick of gum to cleanse your breath and teeth. Do anything that would change your normal routine of lighting up. Go for a walk and bring along a camera to take pictures with. As long as you change what you are focusing on after dinner, you should be able to avoid grappling with the urge to fire up.

Many people who drive like to light up the minute they slide behind the wheel. Replace the ashtrays with sugar-free gum or candy mints and remove all lighters from your vehicle. Try to keep a cold bottle of water in the car as well.

The most important thing is, don’t give up if you hit a bump in the road. Re-motivate yourself and get back on track. Always keep your end goal in sight and never let the word ‘defeat’ find a place on your list of options.

Team building is a vital part of any good business plan. Without any recognition of the role that team building plays in a successful business plan then there is a strong chance that things will not run as smoothly as they ought to. Go to team development for more information.

The reluctance to include team building in the day to day running of a business and the employees within is often down to one of tow things; a complete lack of knowledge and understanding or a misunderstanding of the knowledge they do have.

For many the words ‘team building’ mean very little in the context of their place of employment. They think of football teams or some other such sporting activity. Team building to them means ‘The Premiership’ transfer market with vast amount of money changing hands. They cannot see how team building could possibly relate to their office or shop job.

To many others the term conjures up images of a bunch of reluctant office workers giving up their weekend to be marched across a wet and windy area of the Cotswolds by a retired Sergeant Major., all in the name of team building. Again this is completely wrong.

Team building and team building exercises are as important to any business as employing the right people. So much of business today relies on good relationships and communication due to the competitive nature of the world we live in. If your staff is not part of a strong unit that has good working relationships within it and cannot communicate successfully then how can you expect to bring in the best business possible?

Team building has several aims and each is linked to the running of a successful business.

Motivation – Without a good feeling about what you are doing you cannot perform to the best of your ability. This can be achieved in many ways using goals and incentives. Refer to Motivational Consultants for more information.

Communication – People work best when they clearly understand what they are doing, but also why they are doing it. Communication is important at every stage and is vital to achievement and success.

Imagination & Creativity – One of the biggest aims of any team building exercise should be to allow room and scope for creative thinking. Often a task will be completed but not necessarily in the quickest, most productive or appropriate way. Allowing the opportunity to contribute different ideas, often highly unusual ideas, can produce unexpected but important approaches to problem solving.

Improving Leadership Skills – Without good leadership a team of people is not really a team at all, it’s just a group of people performing tasks. Leadership can come in many forms and doesn’t have to be a case of cracking the whip; in fact good leadership is the opposite of that. Leadership is the ability to co-ordinate and manage people in situations where problems need to be overcome in achieving a common goal.

Time Management – Given enough time most things can be done. Unfortunately time is a precious commodity and we never seem to have enough of it. Team building teaches effective time management and helps identify where time is being wasted and how to use it properly.

There was a time when the Sergeant Major image of a team building weekend wasn’t too far removed from the truth, but those days are long gone. Team building exercises are just as likely to take place in a sporting venue or restaurant as they are on a mountain or in a classroom. There are now so many different approaches to team building and whatever approach suits you there will be an appropriate team building venue and exercise.

Whatever route you choose to take it is important that you come away from the experience feeling positive and encouraged. Visit Motivational Speaker for further information.
