Our internal dialogue can be our best friend or our own worst enemy. It can limit us from doing what we want to do resulting in a lack of confidence even though we know that other people believe in our abilities. For more information refer to motivational speaker

It does not have to be that way because we all have complete control over the way we think and feel (whether you believe that or not!) and can regain control by using a variety of methods, one I recommend is affirmations.

Negative self-talk can be a roadblock to doing your best, pursuing your dreams, and enjoying life. On the other hand, positive self-talk – especially when using positive affirmations – can spur you on to do great things and live an exciting life full of passion!
Using affirmations can change how you think about yourself and how you view the world around you. These positive statements can bring you the motivation you seek, as well as happiness, joy, and passion.

When you are feeling negative or down, repeating affirmations can immediately improve your mood. Even though affirmations can work immediately do not think of them as a quick fix. Positive affirmations are most effective in the long-term so you can get what you deeply desire out of life.

When you use affirmations, you are literally reprogramming the way you think. You replace your negative self-talk and doubts with positive, motivating thoughts. Eventually, these positive thoughts become reality.

These motivational affirmations work because they push away the negative thoughts that are limiting you day in and day out. You can leave your negative thinking in the past if you fill your current thoughts with positive, motivational affirmations. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

Before you know it these positive affirmations will become second nature allowing you to change your life systematically, one thought at a time. Here are ten motivational affirmations you can use to improve your mood:

1. I welcome positive energy and I use that feeling to accomplish more.
2. I use my energy to live my life to the fullest.
3. No matter what I’m working on, I’m always committed to completing my goal.
4. I trust my thought processes. They are clear and I am very capable.
5. I can find my own intrinsic motivator.
6. No matter how hard I may fall, I get back up, dust myself off, and forge on.
7. No matter the challenge, I will see it through.
8. I enjoy being responsible for my actions.
9. My life is full of purpose, exciting chang, and many recognized deeds.
10. By commemorating the smallest nuggets of success I am motivated to complete the larger tasks.

Use this list of affirmations in those moments of frustration or self-doubt to help you find the motivation you need to continue. Repeat them in the morning when you first wake up, or make them your last thoughts at night before you sleep.

Add your own energy into them by making them your own, change the words or add to them. Affirmations are far more powerful when you create them for yourself because they have special meaning for you. It doesn’t matter where you get them, as long as they speak to your heart and are focused on the present.

We all need a motivational boost from time to time. Now you don’t have to look to other people or situations to keep you moving forward. Keep your affirmation list updated with the thoughts you’d like to be thinking, repeat your affirmations several times a day, and soon you will easily be able to command and master your emotions rather than having them control you.

Motivation is simply defined as the one that kindles change and concentration. As Elbert Hubbard says, “Positive anything is better than negative nothing.” True isn’t it? Motivation is the one that keeps people to stay focus. It’s motivation that helps people to stay optimistic amidst all the challenges that they encounter in their everyday life. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

Literally speaking, motivation is based on the word “motivus” which is a Latin term that denotes a moving cause. It is the element that pushes an individual to take action or initiate change. It is the one that keeps an individual to get going.

To best explain the importance of motivation and how it affects the behavior of a certain individual, you should look into this article and discover the whole story of motivation theory.

There are many motivation theories that were conceptualized on account of giving people a vivid picture of what motivation is and how important it is to be motivated. Here are some of the theories of motivation that you should take into account.

Consistency Theory

The consistency theory is based on the principle that people need some form of regularity and control in their lives. It is very important to have consistency for the reason that it is the key element that binds everything as one. Being consistent is necessary not only because it holds everything together but also because it drives people to reach that standard level of stability in this world.

Self-discrepancy Theory

This theory deals with the human self-esteem and how it is affected by the dealings with cognitive elements of the self. People are encouraged to have that sense of consistency depending on their point of views or how they perceive things. This sometimes led to some problems because people have different expectations. This is evident when people don’t get what they wanted for example you want to win the first prize for the essay writing contest but you end up on the 3rd place. You feel dissatisfied and depressed for you don’t get what you like to achieve. Refer to motivational speaker for more information.

Reactance Theory

Reactance theory is based on the notion that when people don’t feel comfortable and they think that they can do what they want, they experience a bad feeling. This bad feeling is known as reactance. When they feel this, they will be motivated to do what they were threatened to do, which is a sign that their freedom has not been suppressed.

Goal-setting Theory

The goal-setting theory implies that people set goals for themselves. But you see setting goals for yourself is more effective unlike when other people set your goals. This is because people are more encouraged to fulfill the goals that they have set for themselves for it’s based on what they believe.

Acquired Needs Theory

The theory of acquired needs explains that needs may vary depending on people’s experiences and these needs may change as time goes by. This theory is also referred to as the Three-Need Theory or Learned Need Theory. Generally, the needs of the people are classified into three. These are the achievement, affiliation and power.

On the whole, understanding all the theories of motivation can be a great help to you especially when it comes to harnessing your leadership skills. Motivation is a very important ingredient in the success of every individual. Without it, your life will not be bright.

It is easier to motivate others than it is to motivate yourself. Do you know why? You are able to look at things from a different light. You can step back from a situation and see things for what they really are because you aren’t the one wearing the rose colored glasses. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

You may not know exactly how you can motivate someone, but you may want to think about the person’s feelings before you try to give them a heart-felt push. You do not want to sound nagging when you are only trying to be encouraging. It is easy to give someone your opinion, however, it’s not always so easy trying to figure how to say it.

The first tip on how to motivate others is to take out the negative and reinforce a positive note. You do not want to sound like you are tearing into your friend or loved one. You just want to give them some support to go for the things that they enjoy.

If you are dealing with someone who seems to have no direction, you may want to think about asking him or her questions about their future. Support begins with a nice long chat and if you two can understand each other, then you two should be able to have a good solid and strong relationship needed to motivate.

The second tip is to listen. When you are being asked to give your support, you will need to not judge. You will need to give the person some advice, but that does not mean that you have to take what they are saying to extremes. The key is to listen.

If you strongly disagree with the person, you should ask them to see your point of you and then make your points about your view, but not the way that it should be. When you stop giving orders and start talking about the way things make you feel, then you both will begin to have a healthy relationship and motivation will only come from a healthy relationship. Refer to motivational speaker for more information.

Sometimes you are going to be asked to give your support or blessing and you are just going to have to give it regardless of rather you like it or not. If you are giving your support to a friend or family member you may want to think about what your words may do to your relationship. Motivation could be something that makes or breaks a friendship or relationship. You may end up losing the person’s respect if you continue to try to control instead of helping out.

Lastly, you are going to have to think about the reason why you want to motivate the person. Most of the time it is because you truly care about them and you don’t want to see them go to a place that is unhealthy. You may be trying to give your support in orders of controlling, of saving, or of love.

The last think that you can ever do is try to motivate someone in the name of control. You may just need someone to talk to about it because no one can control anyone. You have to give someone room to choose, however, if they are being destructive, you may feel the need to control to save them. This is when you take professional advice and support them to seek new ideas.

You will want to make sure that whatever reason you are supporting someone is out of love. You not only need to motivate the person, but you have to care about the person for them to turn their life around or reach their goals. Visit motivational speaker for further information.

Motivation is something that we all have to have. We all need to find the right levels of motivation in our life so that we can do the things that we want and have fun doing them. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have more motivation in your life. You can increase your motivation and live a happier and healthier lifestyle. You will not have to worry about how hard this will be because there are a few things that you can do to make it go a lot faster for you. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

You need to ask yourself some important questions when you are looking for self-motivation. You need to think about what you should be doing and what you are doing. How are you going to feel if you do not get something accomplished in life? And what you want to keep on doing in your life to stay happy? These are all things that you should ask yourself first and then this will determine if you need to increase your motivation about a certain thing or not.

You have to start making active choices in your life. You need to have a power of mind that will allow you to do the things that you want to and not let anything stand in your way. If you say that you are going to do something, you need to make sure that you follow through. This is the only way that you can get things done in your life that will make you happy in the end. When you feel as if you have something accomplished, you will feel a lot better because you did what you wanted to.

Set goals for yourself to increase your motivation. You will want to think about the things that you want to do and then how you can get them done. Make sure that you are setting realistic goals for yourself. Do not make them something that is impossible to do. You want to set long term and short term goals so that you can have sometime to accomplish as you go. These goals can help you get on the right track so that you stay there with your motivation. Refer to Keynote Speaker for more information.

Get good role models to follow after. You will find that when you look up to someone that is doing well in his or her self-motivation, this will help you achieve yours. You will find it easier to do the things that you want because you are willing to make them happen. You will have nothing to lose and you will have the inspiration of the role models to follow you. You will feel better and know that you can do it because you have the strength and the power behind you to get it done.

Know what you want and do not want in life. There are things that will change as you grow in life. You will not have the same goals and you will want to change the way that you look at certain things. There is nothing wrong with this. The best thing that you can do is staying positive and knows what you want and how to get it. Focus on one thing at a time and then go on from there. When you get one thing accomplished, this will help you to keep your motivation and keep moving on down the line.

Be thankful for the things that you have in life. You want to make sure that you do not take things for granted and appreciate the things that you have around you. You want to make sure that you are keeping a positive outlook on things that you already have and the goals that motivate you to keep on going in life. You have so much to be grateful for now and think of what you can do if you keep on going with your motivation. You can have a great life filled with unlimited opportunities if you keep your motivation on the right path. Visit Keynote Speaker for further information.

There’s a new management breed springing up in high Paris society led by a motivational talking rat who happens to cook. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

If you don’t believe me, watch Disney’s feature-length animation film, Ratatouille. The movie takes place in Paris and is about a rat named Remy who dreams of becoming a gourmet chef.

Only problem is he’s a rat! Go figure. Remy has a highly developed sense of smell and a keen appreciation for food. He yearns for a better life and desires to raise himself out of a meager existence of living in sewers and scrambling for crumbs and rotten cheese.

Ahh, but it’s not to be, mon ami. You see, he eees after all a rat! And responsible rats have to look after themselves. So Remy’s Dad puts his talent to use by making him the Chief Sniffer. Remy’s sole job is to sniff all the rotten food and human leftovers day in and day out to make sure there’s no rat poison in the food for his Dad’s rat colony.

Yuk! Talk about one stinking job! I’m treading on dangerous ground here, but can’t we all relate to this story on some level? I mean, sometimes we just fall into doing work that’s less than desirous and not even close to what we’re really, really passionate about in our hearts.

Sometimes we just settle for far less than the best we deserve in order to ‘make a living’ or meet other people’s expectations of us. Pretty soon we fall into a rut – a routine – and get cozy. Welcome to the Rat Race! The never-ending treadmill of constant busyness. A dream stealer disguised as a golden ladder to nowhere.

Ratatouille is a story about one rat’s dilemma to either play it safe by sticking to his normal rat routine and winning the approval of his friends and family or enter the forbidden human world and risk everything in pursuit of his dream to become a gourmet chef in the most prestigious restaurant in Paris.

We can all learn from Remy’s adventures and wisdom. I certainly did, and I’d like to share with you some insights I took away from the movie:

> LOOK UP!

After being chased away by a gun-totting human and being tossed and turned in a raging river, Remy gets separated from his friends and family and ends up shivering, stranded and feeling utterly lost in a dark, cold gutter. This is what mythologist Joseph Campbell would call ‘the approach to the inner most cave.’

Remy spends days in this gloomy dungeon paralyzed by fear and never venturing out. In this moment of darkness and delirium, a mentor figure appears in his imagination – the late Auguste Gusteau, France’s culinary genius.

Gusteau gently encourages Remy to look up and venture out! And so, with some trepidation, Remy climbs up the drainage pipes and enters a brave new world. He is shocked to see the magnificent city of Paris unfold before him with its shimmering lights and the Eiffel Tower beckoning him forward. Refer to Life Coach for more information.

All these years Remy has been scrounging around underground with his fellow rats while getting occasional peaks of his hero Chef Gusteau work his culinary magic on TV in glamorous Paris. Now, hungry and tired and being stranded for days in some dingy gutter, he realizes that he’s in the very heart of Paris – at the doorstep of Gusteau’s famous restaurant!

So what’s the application here?? I mean, it’s not like we’re living in some kind of rat hole! (Sorry Remy). Well, first of all, it’s important to realize that with each seed of failure and loss there’s an equivalent seed of new hope and opportunity. And second, when we get into a rat of a rut, it’s important to look up and venture out.

How do we do that as humans? One of the fastest and most memorable ways to ‘look up’ and develop a higher perspective is to once in a while upgrade some of our routine experiences: flying first class instead of economy, staying in a five star luxury hotel, joining a pricier, more exclusive business or fitness club, or attending a prestigious auction or art gallery.

Upgrading some of our experiences serves the multiple purpose of sending a message to our subconscious that we value ourselves while opening up higher learning and networking opportunities and developing friendships with people that can help us grow.

Of course, you don’t always have to shell out big money to accomplish this. You can offer to volunteer and help out at these types of establishments or events; you can join an online newsgroup at one of the higher brow establishments such as Washington Post, New York Times, or Harvard Business Review and participate or eavesdrop on some of the conversations; you can read a biography; or – if you can muster up the courage – you can ask to meet with someone you admire to learn how they became successful.

I used this last strategy once when I was working at a bookstore quite a few years back. Harry Rosen, world renowned men’s clothier, once walked into the store looking for a Kiri Te Kanawa opera video. Of course, as Murphy’s Law would predict, we didn’t have the video and he left the store promptly.

I then wrote a letter to him saying I tried various suppliers but could not find the video but really admired his success and was wondering if he could give me a tour of his head office and share with me how he became successful in his field.

A couple weeks later I got a reply letter back from his secretary to call and arrange for a time to meet with Mr. Rosen. I ended up meeting him at his penthouse office and getting a brief tour. He showed me his architectural design concept for a new store he was opening up in Chicago and we spent close to an hour chatting. (Actually, he was doing most of the chatting while I was listening and taking notes).

I later learned that there were a number of very important people wanting desperately to meet with him and that they’d be lucky if they even got fifteen minutes with Mr. Rosen.

One thing I never did get a chance to do is watch that Kiri Te Kanawa video. Visit Author for further information.

Motivation techniques are essential for success in anything. Any goal or aspiration requires a lot of effort and the ability to overcome adversity. Motivation is the driving force that keeps you going towards your goal no matter how hard it is or how long it takes to succeed. Go to team development for more information.

If your desire is to succeed in life, then motivation techniques can help you to increase your potential. However, there are certain steps to follow.

When you first set a goal to achieve make sure that what you want is very specific, realistic, and is able to be your main focus. Make sure you have also written a specific vision or plan of the steps you need to take to get to your goals.

You must write your goals down as well as the actions you plan to take to achieve them. That is the only way to affirm them to yourself and make a commitment to achieve your goal.

Try different motivation techniques that will work best for your schedule and plan. Try breaking down your plan into segments so that you can realistically reach your daily goals. If you are not a person who is used to managing huge tasks, it may get overwhelming.

The Best of the Motivation Techniques

One of the greatest motivation techniques almost all successful people use is to make a “to do” list every day. Put the five most important things for you to do that day at the top of your list. Spend most of your time on those. Each day if you complete your top five you will be getting closer and closer to your goal.

Keys to Productivity

Don’t be afraid to reward yourself from time to time for what you have done so far. If you are trying hard and taking action, that is all you can do. Be proud of yourself just for that. This motivation technique will keep you positive and prevent you from obsessing or getting anxiety about progress. Refer to Motivational Consultants for more information.

Another way to motivate yourself is to talk to your inner-self. In other words, encourage yourself and believe in yourself. Talking to yourself helps to wake up the brain and hearing your voice awakens your senses. It gives you a means of relying on your own instinct.

Give yourself time. Did you know that it takes approximately twenty-one days to establish a habit? It will take time for you to get used to being disciplined in goal setting and actually get things done.

Keep Yourself Accountable For Motivation

Be accountable to someone who will help to keep you on track. Get a reliable person to be your mentor or someone who you can report to with your progress. This motivation technique is not to micro-manage you, but to assist you with sticking to your goals.

Learn From The Best In Motivation

There are many motivational coaches that can help you in the path to your success. It may cost you thousands of dollars, but it may be worth it if they teach you the techniques you need to reach your goals. Most successful people have mentors they meet with regularly who coach them.

If you are someone who is not currently motivated just understand that motivation techniques can be learned over time. Don’t lose focus because you aren’t achieving your goals fast enough.

We all want immediate success, but the truth is that it will not be easy. Quitting on their dreams too early is the main reason most people are not very successful. Visit Motivational Speaker for further information.

Life Coaching is all the rage. Improving oneself is in and a medical definition of your problem is not so great to hear. The Life Coaching profession in America is booming. Therapist out life coaches in. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

What Does A Life Coach Do ? : Generally speaking a life coach helps people empower themselves by learning to recognize key things about one’s feelings and thinking. There are a lot of discontented people in America and they would to get their lives revamped. The problem with this profession is that it is yet to be regulated and a formal set of education has not been established. A life coach in unlike therapists because they do not rescue the deeply depressed they only wish to guide people whose lives are only slightly askew. In short life coaches are someone you work with in order to set your goals straight and for you to follow those goals. Life coaches do not delve on the past history of client’s life. Instead they tackle today and the future.

Who Get Coached? : For those macho men who hate getting into the emotional stuff life coaching is extremely popular. What’s more, because life coaching takes on a sports persona kids and families in general respond better to the programs. Life coaching is not all about talking, a guide gives certain activities where in there is equal cooperation.

The Downside of the Matter : The problem with life coaching is that it is an unregulated profession. Although a lot of life coaches have trainings and education regarding this field, still a number remains undisciplined in this arena. The life coaching profession has no basis for qualification, no unified approach as to what makes a life coach a life coach. Most of the guiding practices are unproven and no extensive studies have been done.

These unproven methods pose a certain risk because life coaches are not equipped to recognize if their clients have serious mental illness and therefore will have to see the appropriate physician. The guide might put him/herself and the client in danger. Refer to Life Coach for more information.

The need for a cheerleader, a planner, a sort of life secretary if you will is a good premise, but what people really need is more than that. What if the life coach fails to see the signals that a certain person is not only in need of a pick me up but is actually in serious trouble? Experts are getting wary, they want mental professional to enter the field of life coaching because they are better able to analyze a person’s psyche and actually deliver the appropriate needs.

In the past, life coaching was used as a business motivational tool. Human resources see that high powered executives do get restless and might want to evaluate their lives. Life coaches are used to help those worried individuals see reality and appreciate what they have while going after what they are passionate for.

In Closing : Unlike popular belief, life coaching is not a quick fix. The session can take months and months of activities in order to really see ones self clearly in connection to reality. Life coaching is interactive, it is positive, it moves forward. These are the reasons why life coaching is actually good for people. The emphasis however is on whether a life coach is qualified to be one or not. Visit Author for further information.

Do people really think that life is meant to be lived in default? Getting up, going to work because you have to without any real motivation or joy in doing so. Do you want to regret your boring life when you are on your death bed? Or do you want to look back at a life that is so bright and wonderful it is almost blinding to look at? Go to motivational speaker for more information.

What is Motivation?

Is motivation the key ingredient to getting what you want in life? In reality, motivation is an inner process that helps you to move toward your goal in definite motion, with purpose and vision. Drive and determination are two qualities necessary to experience real motivation.

Some people allow different things to motivate them. It could be your job, your marriage, your family, your income or your wealth. What is motivation to you? If you can find out what is motivates you, then you can have tap into your true self and hone in on exactly what you need to do to succeed.

Without motivation you will go nowhere in life and end up like most people, running to the movie store to rent enough movies, or to the bar on Friday to help you zone out until Monday. Let me know how many truly successful people you find at a bar?

Some people have learned what motivation is by seeking to improve themselves and creating a vision that is realistic as well as having an inner desire that outweighs the challenges.

Since motivation is a parallel to the word, “move,” lack of motivation is when your life is at a standstill. This equates to fear of failure and what keeps most people from doing anything significant in their lives.

You can tell a motivated person when you see one. They have that sparkle in their eye and they are always looking for new challenges and ways to grow. Growth is synonymous to motivation because there isn’t really a stopping point of “all right, I have done enough it is time to just sit around and do nothing.” Motivation is ongoing as you will find that successful people always have something that motivates them. They know that there motivation is what helps shape the very world that we live in.
Refer to Keynote Speaker for more information.

Staying motivated is not necessarily easy, however, especially when we face obstacles or uninvited trouble that dampens our spirit. Negative thoughts and anxiety come into play and we can become unmotivated and doubtful about our future.

However, there are some people who have learned how to pick up the pieces and use their challenges as a stepping-stone to move forward. That is what makes these people successful. They view failure as a lesson in life and never see themselves as a victim.

What is Self-Motivation To You?

If you are a person who is disciplined, goal-oriented, and organized, it is quite likely that you have the skills to motivate yourself. It is possible that you have realized what motivation is and have used it to become the person that you are today.

Self-motivated people know that there is no simple solution to becoming motivated after a disappointment, but they also know that if they can beat the odds, then they will be stronger the next time another obstacle comes along.

Self-motivated individuals realize that their thoughts are what control their emotions. Learning how to nurture their thoughts into a positive outcome helps them to pull themselves together and keep focused on their long-term goals instead of the temporary situation that is plaguing them.

Have you every thought about how a partner or potential partner’s motivation might be incompatible with your own? It may be something you want to consider when thinking about a partner or potential partner. Go to team development for more information.

Scientists have studied motivation for many, many years. Freud thought in terms of human “drives”. Maslow, Murray, and others researched human “needs”. The consensus is that all people have multiple needs but that the intensity of a particular human need or set of needs varies from person to person.

Research into motivation compatibility in romantic relationships is relatively rare but the role of motivation in a satisfying relationship is worth paying attention to. It is arguably the most important consideration when thinking about whether or not you are compatible with a partner or potential partner.

Before justifying this claim of importance, let me establish some context.

First of all, a person’s motivation priorities can change depending on circumstances. For example, if you are outside, exposed to the elements and hungry, you are going to prioritize finding shelter and food over a need to play or have fun. Or, if you are eager for sexual intimacy, the intensity of that “drive” or “need” might overwhelm your need to find a partner who has characteristics you seek for the “long-term”. The point is, that a person’s motivation is dynamic and changes as circumstances change.

This does not mean a person’s motivation at any given moment is random. Motivation patterns are fairly stable. So, if a person is motivated by a need to make an impression–to be seen and heard, he or she will maintain that need over time even if its prominence waxes and wanes in the context of other needs. Go to Motivational Consultants for more information

The second contextual note is that you might seek the fun and excitement of going downhill on skis while simultaneously trying to avoid physical pain and injury.

The point here is that motivation is usually complex, involving more than one dimension or need at a time. Indeed, going downhill on skis could include the dimensions of excitement, success at a complex task, and avoiding injury, all at the same time!

So, what can you make of the complexity of changing and multi-dimensional motivational needs and how do they influence your choice of a romantic partner?

Fortunately for those seeking a satisfactory relationship, a partner or potential partner’s motivation can be analyzed. Of all the identified human needs, three are thought to be particularly important for figuring out why a person does what he or she does. These three are the need for achievement, power, and affiliation.

Analyzing a person’s needs for achievement, power, and affiliation should tell you a lot about his or her motivational pattern and how compatible it is with your own.

You can recognize a person’s need for achievement in his or her desire to accomplish something difficult, to master tasks, to successfully exercise talent, albeit usually solo or alone. A person’s need for power is expressed in his or her effort to control his/her environment and direct or influence other’s behavior by command or seduction. Finally, person’s need for affiliation is manifest in his or her attempt to cooperate pleasantly with and be liked by others, particularly others viewed as allies or friends.

This is not to say that there are not other needs that motivate people. There are many other needs. For example, a need to avoid humiliation, a need to play, a need to put things in order, etc.. Unless they are unusually strong or weak, however, these other needs are not thought to be as important in directing behavior as the needs for achievement, power, and affiliation.

Of course, most people have more than one need working at a time.

For example, many people are simultaneously motivated by a need for affiliation and a need for power. Nonetheless, most people have a dominant need with one or two subordinate needs trailing behind. If your partner or potential partner’s dominant need is for power and your dominant need is for affiliation, you may struggle over the long-term because of a basic incompatibility between your dominant needs.

Imagine living with someone whose primary motivational need is to achieve (master tasks alone) or exercise power (direct others) when you have a strong need to affiliate (be in harmony with others). Or imagine having a strong need to achieve while living with someone who wants to exercise power over you.

At the risk of making finding a suitable romantic partner more challenging, my advice is to pay attention to a partner or potential partner’s needs for achievement, power, and affiliation. Seek someone with a similar pattern of needs. Compatibility based on similar values and interests is important. Compatibility based on motivational needs is even more important.

In the future, I will offer more about how to figure out your own and an other’s motivational needs. Visit Motivational Speaker for further information.

Being the boss of your very own online business has its advantages and disadvantages. On one hand, you do not have anyone telling you what to do. On the other hand, you do not have anyone to give you that extra push or motivational support when you are feeling down and any emotional support. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

For example, at a typical 9 to 5 job, you can vent to other employees about your boss, about how unfairly you be treated, or how a client or customer is being completely irrational.

However, when you are working at home and in business for yourself, you are the boss – you do not have to face-to-face interactions with employees or contractors. As a result, you do not have anyone to vent to or to give you that motivational pep talk that you sometimes need.

So, what happens? Well, you probably let negative feelings build up, or sometime even worse, you probably vent to yourself with negative self-talk, which will slow down your productivity and makes you feel just plain lousy.

If you are feeling lousy, then how can you ensure that your business will prosper and grow? How can you enhance business and personal relationships? Briefly, you cannot.

To leave those “negativity thinking and lousy feeling” into the trash and be motivated, you should have positive mental attitude, here are some tips to help you build up your positive thinking.

1. Be Committed – Make a positive commitment to yourself that you will do your very best and be all that you can be. Feel proud of yourself on what you are doing and never, ever, ever giving up.

2. Accept Challenges – Being your own boss and owner of your own online business can be scary and a bit intimidating at times. Do not afraid of fail, learn from your mistakes and you constantly grow.

3. Be in Control – Keep your mind focused on important things. Set goals and priorities for what you want to do and accomplish. Control your own destiny.

4. Do not Criticize Yourself – There is no use criticizing yourself once you have made a mistake. Simply learn from your mistakes and move on. Create your own feelings and make your own decisions. Do not let other people trigger your mental habits. In addition, do not associate yourself with negative people or people who try to discourage your business efforts.

5. Take a Time Out – Your business still there and will not go anywhere if you take some time off. Do not worry about impending projects. Everyone needs a break. If you do not, your mental health will surely suffer – and so will your business relationships. Refer to motivational speaker for more information.

6. Practice Makes Perfect – Stop worrying about getting everything right. No one is perfect, it is okay to make mistake, and we all do though. Accept mistakes as a part of life and move on.

7. Pleasing Yourself – It is good to try to please others, but not at the sake of displeasing yourself. Thus, make sure you remember that everyone has the right to have angry feelings. You do not have to please everyone all of the time.

8. Do not Afraid to Try – Just because you have not tried something does not mean that you will not be good at it. Give yourself permission to try something new, and then do the best you can. If you do not get succeed at the first time, try again. Do not let “I can’t” or “I can’t do it” hang you.

9. Ask For Help – There nothing wrong with asking for help. We are only human, do not think you are incompetent simply because you cannot do it all, treat yourself with kindness, get others help when you need and learn to enjoy life.

In conclusion, you can maintain and develop a positive mental attitude. You can become your own biggest fan. You can turn negatives into positives – or like the saying goes “turn that frown upside down!”

As a result, your productivity will increase, stress will be eliminated, and you will be able to enable yourself to start living and enjoying your newfound freedom of owning your own business.

Good Charlotte had this song “Motivation Proclamation.” If anything, the title should be everyone’s personal theme. It confirms how motivation can invite all the positive things in life. Go to motivational speaker for more information.

When we were kids, we were motivated to do well in games so we would always win. When we were studying, our motivation to study hard was the idea that our parents would reward us. For college graduates, a future job was what motivated us.

Motivation can take us far, we all know that. Losing the motivation to do something is a bad idea . That’s why for suicidal people, death is the best option because they already lost the motivation to live.

What is motivation anyway? It is that condition that triggers behavior and impels the person to do something. It is that desire that gives the energy and direction for goals.

We need to know more about motivation as it can empower us more. Here are more information on motivation:

1. What is the importance of motivation?

There are people like motivation theorists who question themselves how influential motivation is on behavior. They still ask themselves if behavior stem from the principles, environmental influences, emotions and personality or if motivation is truly inherent.

Motivation is so important because it increases the response of a person to a certain event. For example, a sudden announcement that the one who can graduate with honors will receive a vacation to Jamaica will urge everyone to study harder.

There was this guy who probably lost the motivation to go on with life. Then one day, he met a girl who instantly motivated him to continue living. That’s a clear demonstration on the importance of behavior.

2. What is the relationship between motivation and emotion?

Emotion is entirely different from motivation, that’s one thing you need to know. Motivation can be an emotion, yes, but emotion per se needs not any affixed goal. Emotions come out because they are results to human-to-human and human-to-environment interactions. These two are related as you motivate yourself to change your feelings.

3. What is the source of motivation?

We can categorize the source into two: extrinsic or intrinsic. Intrinsic (meaning, within the person) can be subcategorized into the physical, mental (which has the following: conative, affective and cognitive) and spiritual. Extrinsic means outside of the person.

4. What are the sources of motivational needs?

a. Behavior or external

This source is from a stimulus related to another stimulus. It has the rewards and the not-so-good consequences.

b. Social

Don’t we all want to belong? This motivational need source means that we need to look for positive models.

c. Biological

It entails the following: sense activation as the senses of touch, smell and taste work themselves out, relieving hunger and thirst and keeping the body’s homeostasis. Refer to motivational speaker for further information.

d. Cognitive

This covers personal dreams, self-efficacy maintenance, control of your life, meeting goals and accomplishing plans.

e. Spiritual

This is about understanding your purpose in life and finding out about faith and the unknown.

5. What are the theories of motivation?

a. Behavioral Motivation Theory

This simply states that behavior is important for motivation.

b. Cognitive Motivation Theory. This states that motivation is equivalent to perceived success probability, success and reward connection and value of goal.

6. How to stay motivated?

Now this is tricky. We always lose step and lose motivation altogether. How to keep it?

a. Take goal setting seriously.

b. Deal with your personal problems head-on.

If it means attending therapy sessions and reading self-help books, do so.

c. Solving the problem yourself.

d. Never lack interest over something you’ve always been passionate about.

e. Defeat the following self-deprecating behavior patterns like extreme dependence.

f. Never make fear as your motivator.

It will never lead you anywhere.

g. Have fun with your life!

Just being in control with your life and enjoying each moment will motivate you to do the best in every activity you find yourself in. Whether it is as menial as washing the dishes or as important as finishing college, motivation always leads you to the end, to your desired result. You can also be your friend’s motivator!
